Season’s Greetings. 2023 is almost over, and I can’t believe it. Where did the time go? 2023 has blessed our family with so many miracles this year. Of course, first on the list is the birth of our daughter, Blakelyn, but I also published a second memoir and went on some great trips! Check out my list of some of my favorite things that happened this year.
1. The birth of my daughter, Blakelyn, on January 17th, and seeing the relationship she and my son are building.
2. The publication of my second memoir, Another Four Pounds of Pressure, in March.
3. Our trip to Hayward, WI to snowmobile and spend time with family.
4. Our trip to Charleston, South Carolina in April.
5. Traveling to Tulsa, Oklahoma in July to speak at the Improving Criminal Justice Response Conference that was held by the Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women. It was an incredible honor to be chosen to be on the survivor panel to speak at this conference.
6. Watching my son learn how to golf and love it! He is thriving.
7. Traveling to New York with my boyfriend for no business, no work, all pleasure!
